FAQ - ASU Geto Boy Hockey
1. Where is Pauly's?
-Joey Fagan's Pauly's
Hotel, established sometime in the late 1600s, is located on Central
Avenue in Albany, NY. It's roughly 3 blocks from Western Avenue,
which is the heart of the Student Ghetto in Albany. Happy Hour
specials include one dollar bottles, and 25 cent drafts. The Geto Boy
Hockey section is the corner near the ATM and the mirror. Pauly's has
seen many wonderful exciting things, including the hug between Gabe
and Baker, a Phish show in 1989, dart mastery, and lots of Sloptarts
being taken home.
2. Is it really that great of a time to be in
Albany? The city kind of blows, doesn't it?
-That is false.
Albany really is a rockin' town. Within the walking distance radius
of the Student Ghetto, there are twenty or more bars. And if you hop
in a car, there are many more further downtown. There are also an
abundance of 24 hour diners, which as everyone knows, is the true
mark of a good city. Speaking of food, it marvelous and mighty cheap.
All in all, the city has everything anyone (college or not) could ask
for. Just don't head down to Arbor Hill...
3. Did Coach Scott Card really in the American
Hockey League (AHL)?
-Yes. After playing Juniors in
Binghamton, NY, Scott played goalie in various minor leagues,
including the AHL. He never made it to the NHL, but he did give Matt
Rich his Rochester Americans jersey, which has to be worth something.
4. Does that kid Fat Chad really play?
-Fat
Chad falls into the category of Non-Hockey Playing Geto Boy (NHPGB).
There are a few of these persons, including Fat Chad, "Lucious"
Jon Ledenheim, Chad "Heavy C" Diamantopolous, Charles H.
"Rip Ass" Thornton, "Diamond" Dave Totten, Kevin
"Silky White Chocolate" Rogers, Joey "Poopy"
Savan. Some of these gentlemen played in the past, but definitely not

photogenic, or in the right place at the right time.

Wrong"?
-"Dead Wrong", written and performed by

"Diamond" Dave Totten, Fat Chad and Josh "O"
Oryhon, and later picked up Mike "Flip" Sivulich.
7. Who is Kevin Rogers? Is his nickname really
"Silky White Chocolate"?
-Yes. Silky originally came
to Albany with the freshman class of 2002. He played defense for the
Great Danes, but left school to become a police officer. He works for
the New York Police Department, and uses his badge to get free pizza
and bagels. He comes up to Albany frequently and always good for a
lark.
8. What is Floopjack?
-It is an organization

-Jason "JK" Kane transferred to Geneseo
State University, George "Emo Is Not PDA" Carney still
plays hockey but has become unstable since he almost pushed Brian
"Maunel" Flanagan off the porch at the 264 Western Avenue.
Scott "Never Needed A Nickname" Conklin quit hockey after
his freshman year but hangs out periodically. Chris "My
Girlfriend Hooked Up With Gabe" Cervinik, was a veteran cut in
2001. He had suited up entirely before the first game, but was told
that he wasn't supposed to. He left the rink and never came back. Has
not been seen since.
11. Did Flanny almost die?
-At the Second
Annual Formal, Brian "Maunel" Flanagan made a witty comment
about George Carney, as is usually done. George overreated and shoved
Flanny. Flanny fell backwards over the edge of the porch. In
desperation, he grabbed on the porch with the back of his knees and
Robert "The Bob" Bedford. Bobby and everyone around pulled
Flanny up to safety. If Flanny would have gone over the edge
completely, it would have been a bummer for the party.
12. Where are the new pictures of 264 Western Ave
and the Big Red House on Yates?
-There are none. After the
2000-2001 year, inhabitants of both houses moved out. The biggest
loss was 264 Western Ave. As it is shown in the section, countless
hours of parties were held there and many fantastic occurences
happened.
13. What made 264 so special?
-264 Western
Avenue, also known as 264, was a great party house. It had a front
porch, that overlooked Western Avenue, a very busy street that always
has pedestrians to harrass or throw stuff at. 264 also had two living
rooms and a huge kitchen. The following all lived in this house:
Billy "Ho" Newport, Mikey "Creed Makes My Ass Sting"
Rich, Joey "Poopy" Savan, "Lucious" Jon
Ledenheim, and Brad "Girth" Shelton.

manipulate her stomach muscles well enough to mimic the motion of a
fetus.

-Camp
Fungus was a retreat held at Robert "The Bob" Bedford's
skiing cottage somewhere in New York. Detals are sketchy as to what

for multiple hours. The participants were: The aforementioned Bobby,
"Big Gay" Dan Colantuoni, Gabe "Gaber" Sganga,
Mikey "T" Rich, "Diamond" Dave Totten, Brian
"Manuel" Flanagan, josho, and Jeff "Rossy" Ross.

Komrade SLF, Jessica Resnick, Sara
Resnick, Vicki "Big Clit" Cioffi

"Swiping"?
-Paine 103 is the room that the Ho Train
lives in. It is on Colonial Quad on the main campus at Albany.
Swiping is the action of people who have meal plans swiping people
who don't for dinner. It is a coveted event, because usually the
people who don't have the meal plans love all the free food and the
company, as opposed to whipping up a batch of Easy-Mac at their
apartment.
22. What is the Rodeway Inn?
-It is a hotel
on Long Island where the ASU Hockey team staye don two separate road
trips. Bottles were tossed off the balcony, 40s were consumed,
speeches were given, massages were received, Busdrivers wanted to
have relations, televisions were watched and wrestling matches were
held.
23. Why do you sing into hockey sticks?
-Oftentimes
parties break out when the Geto Boys are all together. Usually music
is being played, and the natural progression is to sing along. That
has grown into inpromptu concerts given, with the band singing into
broken goalie sticks.
24. Who is Phil Lesh?
-Phil
Lesh was the bass player for the Grateful Dead. It was noted that
Brian "Manuel" Flanagan resembles him. And when the
aforementioned concerts are given, Phil Lesh usually makes an
appearance.
25. What happened to Big Al?
-Big Al was a
glass that lived in 174 Western Ave, and predates the arrival of Matt
"Matty" Rich and Brad "Girth" Shelton. The glass
was decorated with a fat bear in a vest and hat playing an acoustic
guitar. It has seen many things through the years, and was eventually
passed down to the new inhibitants. They had taken care of Big Al
successfully for one year, until one fateful night during a match of
Beer Pong. Gabe "Gabe" Scanga bent over under the Beer Pong
table, and bumped into it when he arose. Big Al, safely perched on
top, was knocked from his perch, and landed on the floor. He broke.
It just so happened that Matt "Matty" Rich and Brad "Girth"
Shelton were in the house at the same time, signifying that all the
purveyors of Big Al were there. Photos were taken to commemorate the
event.
26. How many freakin' formals have you had?
-Three.
Two in the 2000-2001 school year and one in the 2001-2002. Some
people are still recovering.
27. Why is Andy's date's name "N"?
-During
ASU Hockey games, Andy's fan club would come dressed as the letters
of his name. He brought "N" to the Formal.
28. Why does Baker have a problem with his
tongue?
-Who knows, to tell you the truth. When Dan "Bakes"
Baker imbibes, his tongue often comes out to visit. And this Tongue
of Peril will attack all that are around, most notably Jeff "Rossy"
Ross.
29. Why are you called "Geto Boys"?
-The
best rap group of all time, The Geto Boys, hail from Houston, TX.
They have composed such fantastic songs as "Damn It Feels Good
To Be A Gangster", "The Gangster Of Love", "My
Mind's Playing Tricks On Me", Gotta Let Your Nuts Hang" and
others. Most of the team can rap at least one of the Geto Boys songs,
and somehow the name became synonymous with the team.
30. Do they all compete with the Southern Tier
people to try to take over the page?
-Any competition between
ASU Geto Boys and Southern Tier Page fans is purely unintentional.
31. Do the Southern Tier people resent
this?
-Recently, it has been mentioned in the Guestbook that
Southern Tier fans are upset with the amount of Page space that the
ASU Geto Boys are receiving. Webmaster Josh "Best Goalie Stats"
Oryhon had this to say when reached for comment: "Until the
Southern Tier cats start showing that they have as good a time as the
A-Town cats, the party-central atmosphere of A-Town will win out".
32. How many hockey players visit the site?
-Out
of the 2001-2002 roster, all players and coaching staff visit the
Page at least once a month. Some visit it much more.

-About
midway through the 3rd period.
